rethinking the think-different thing

Open a hidden path or dir in Finder using terminal.app

May 9th, 2007 at 17:50

Well, i have already mentioned several apps in the past which offer a quick way to toggle visibility of files in OSX.

Today i found an alternative approach:

  1. Open Terminal.app
  2. Navigate to the hidden path or dir. i.e.: /etc
  3. Enter: open .

As result, a new Finder windows should appear which displayes the location selected in Step 2.

A real quicky

Best regards
